I was wodering the same thing a couple of weeks ago.
He not only quit, but vanished from the music scene altogether.
Quite unusual for a brilliant drummer.
I remember that, when he was still drumming for Danzig, that someone once wrote that although he is a fantastic drummer, he's an asshole and not a cool guy to be around with...but that might just be vicious internet rumor.
But just like you, I'd love to know what became of him.
    Anybody?

I think i read on here several years back that the problem was after Live @ roxy was recorded Chuck just simply got tired of waiting for another social d project and wanted to move on (im not sure to what though). It was almost 2 years before mike released his 1st solo after live at the roxy.

    From http://www.sxdx.com/news.html:

It's official...Chuck Biscuits is no longer in the band. Jim Guerinot, manger of Social Distortion and president of Time Bomb Recordings had this to say on February 15th, 1999: "Biscuits, being one of the best rock drummers in the business, simply decided not to continue waiting. I go back 20 years with Chuck and I am sure he will continue to do amazing things." Expect Charlie Quintana, who played drums on "Under The Influences" and on Mike's solo tours to fill in. As for Social D's next album, Guerinot stated "I saw Mike last night and he has 8 songs done and wants to have a Social D record out this summer."

I read an article a long time ago where he said "Who has time to wait around for Mike to quit playing cowboy?"

    <font size="2" face="verdana, arial">Pretty funny stuff!
But isn't it strange that Chuck simply disapeared?
I tried a google.com search a while ago, thinking that I get to find out about his current projects/bands, but not one thing...

Never met Chuck but I think Charlie Q is a pretty awesome guy, very down to earth and friendly, glad he's part of the boys personally..just my 2 cents

My two cents is Charlie Q. fits more than Chuck ever did. Charlie is a perfect fit. The new bass player is a pretty good fit as well.

I remember reading somewhere that Mike's and Chuck's personalities clashed. That may have had a little something to do with it too.

Chuck Biscuts was trying to start his own band in 99.
I actually got called to audition for his band when I lived in Olympia, auditions were held in Seattle. The label he was working with was Sony, I declined when they told me they wanted me to sing like Alanas Morrisette, but it was tempting. Garbage was really big that year, and I think that was the direction they were moving in. What happened after that, no idea.
